Career & Market Experience
After graduating from Loughborough University, where Iain studied Economics and Business Finance, he joined a leading commercial finance brokerage. Within 3 years Iain was promoted to Head of Sales of the Invoice Finance team where he oversaw a team commercial finance brokers and managed relationships with the lenders the business partnered with.
Having successfully helped over 500 businesses secure an invoice finance facility and overseeing hundreds more Iain decided to set up Compare Factoring with Simon to make sure businesses who are looking into the product make the right decision.
Outside of work
Iain plays football for a team in Kent (having previously played semi-professionally in his youth) and enjoys a game of darts in his spare time.
He follows Crystal Palace having grown up in South East London and following in his family’s footsteps.

Career & Market Experience
After leaving school Simon joined a well-known retailer working in management. After a year he started his career in sales and joined an invoice finance provider who specialised in the recruitment market. Over the last 10 years Simon has worked for several different lenders, dealing with a range of businesses from those just starting up to those with £50million plus turnover.
He has won numerous business awards and has a strong value base of always doing the right thing for the customer. "Understanding the fundamental needs of each business I work with, is one of my major strengths. Funding is complicated with lots of different business options, I get joy from supporting individual businesses individually to get the best facility, pricing and customer support"
Outside of work
Simon spends most of his time with family and friends enjoying the local county, running, hiking or the occasional half marathon.
Anything with an engine Simon is super passionate about whether its car's, motorbikes, or boats. Back in the day he enjoyed some professional go karting before realising he wasn’t the next Lewis Hamilton.

Career & Market Experience
Upon graduating from Loughborough University with a degree in Economics and Finance, Jacob spent 2 years working at a well-known high street building society. Following a similar route to Iain, Jacob then joined a leading commercial finance brokerage where he specialised in invoice finance.
After progressing to Team Leader of the invoice finance team, and helping hundreds of businesses secure funding across his four and half years at the company, Jacob has joined the team at Compare Factoring.
Outside of work
Jacob enjoys spending time socialising with family and friends. Once the weather warms up, he can often be found on the golf course, hopelessly trying to bring his handicap down!

Career & Market Experience
After completing a Business management and economics degree from the University of Westminster, Freddie joined Fintech lender MarketFinance within the Invoice Finance team as an Sales Development Representative.
After 3 years and having progressed to a Senior Business Development Manager within that team, Freddie joined Stenn as an account executive within the trade finance division. After 4 years within Invoice Finance Freddie decided that he wanted to make the move into the broker world within Invoice Finance and started at Compare Factoring.
Outside of work
Outside of work, you will find Freddie watching or playing sport (Up the Gooners), trying the ever expanding list of new London restaurants or going to festivals!

Career & Market Experience
I started my career working for a building firm where I was tasked with looking after the day-to-day finances of the business. This included keeping on top of VAT returns, payroll, bookkeeping and much more.
After starting a family, I began working in schools. I held a role of a Catering Manager for 10 years, 5 of which were in a special needs school. This led me to a new job role as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant. Working with students was one of the most rewarding opportunities and I felt very privileged to do it.
Outside of work
My main hobby is reading, especially anything Danielle Steel, I do love a romantic love story with a happy ending.
I was a football Mum for many years following my son around in all weathers I enjoyed this immensely. We are a family of Crystal Palace fans, and nothing can beat a Saturday afternoon at Selhurst.
